Help Us Open Our Doors
We're opening a real, physical Happy Handz Studio this September — and we want you to be part of how it happens.
Our Story
Happy Handz was born from a simple belief: every child is an artist, and everyone deserves a space to create freely, without expectations.

I'm Drew — a certified preK–12 art teacher, a practicing artist, and a mom. Watching my own toddler explore the world through touch and texture is what set this whole thing in motion — and it got me thinking about what kids actually need from art. Not a finished product to hang on the fridge, but the freedom to explore materials, make choices, and follow their own curiosity. That's the heart of process art: the process is the point, not the product.

I started hosting process art and sensory play pop-ups in March 2024, filling a gap I saw in my own community. Along the way I opened a small brick-and-mortar studio — and it flooded, twice, forcing me to close and start over.

I rebuilt anyway — even after welcoming my second baby in the middle of it all. Weekly classes, birthday parties, a part-time teaching job — whatever it took to keep going.

Now we're ready for the real thing: 41 West High Street, East Hampton. Opening September 2026, in a community with no permanent process art studio and families who've already shown up for us again and again.

Getting the doors open the right way just takes a little help — that's where you come in.
The Wishlist
Our goal: $4,500

Here's exactly what it covers:

-
Signage - So you can actually find us
-
Opening supply order - Paint, sensory materials, all the good stuff
-
Library Room setup - Our cozy reading + quiet-play corner
-
Party Room furniture - Tables, seating, and setup for birthday bookings
-
Booking Software - so I don't lose my mind
-
A few finishing touches to make the space feel like home

This is a keep-what-we-raise campaign — every dollar you give goes straight to the studio, whether we hit the full goal or not.
The tiers
Studio Supporter — $25
Get in on the ground floor
You don't need to spend a fortune to be part of this. $25 gets you first access when enrollment opens, a shout-out so the whole HH community knows you helped make it happen, and stickers to prove it.

Studio Friend — $75
Your name, on the wall, forever
Get a literal piece of the studio — a tile with your name on the founders wall, right there when you walk in. Plus 25% off any one class and stickers.

Studio Family — $175
For the families who live here anyway
If you know you'll be in this studio every week, this tier pays for itself. 15% off all classes through 2026, your founders wall tile, and, of course, stickers.

Studio Founder — $300
The whole experience, from day one
A founders wall tile, 15% off classes through 2026, 10% off your first birthday party booking, an HH tote bag, and an invite to Founders Night — before we open to anyone else.

FAQ
Is this a donation?
It's a pledge in exchange for a perk — think of it as pre-supporting the studio and getting something fun back.

What if you don't hit $4,500?
This is keep-what-we-raise — every dollar still goes directly to opening the studio, no matter what.

When will I get my perks? Stickers, tiles, and tote bags will be ready at our opening in September. Class discounts activate once enrollment opens and will be emailed to you.

Can I back more than once?
Yes! Back as many tiers as you'd like — though spots in the Studio Founder tier are limited, since it comes with an invite to our exclusive Founders Event.
THank you!!
We built Happy Handz on the belief that the mess is the point, creativity matters, and happy hands make happy kids. Thank you for helping us give that a permanent home.
